We welcomed Mrs. Jamie Schutt to our classroom this week! “Miss Jamie” is doing her practicum this semester, and will be in our classroom Mon., Tues., and Wed. each week. I am very excited to have this young lady with us, as she is finishing up her early childhood education studies. She is already eager to bring in some new and exciting ideas, and she will be helping students individually and also as a group. If you haven’t had a chance to introduce yourself yet, please say “hi” when you see her!
Your child recently brought home an order form for t-shirts and hoodies. If you would like to order, please write “child” or “adult” under the size.
This month we will be working on phone numbers. On the bottom of this newsletter, please write one phone number that you would like your child to learn. If your child already knows their phone number, you could write a second number you’d like for them to learn (specify who it is), or we can just work on reinforcing the number they already know.
March 25 is RIF Day!! “RIF” stands for “Reading is Fundamental”. We will be joining with the rest of the student body from 10:00-10:45. The preschoolers will be pairing up with some of the older students who will read with them. There will also be a time of independent reading. To make this day even more special, we are having “pajama day” on that day also! The children may wear their pajamas to school and bring a small pillow and/or small blanket if they wish. Mark your calendars!!
